We currently have 14 full-time positions for Automotive Mechanics/Technicians to upskill with Blue Tongue and become Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanics/Technicians.
About the role:
Successful applicants will be paid a wage while they complete six (6) weeks of practical training in heavy equipment repair and hydraulics at a training institute in Manitoba. They will then go onsite to work on a 5/2 , 2/1 and 14/14 rotation roster with one of our Tier-1 partner Clients in the mining and/or oil & gas sectors in Various provinces throughout Canada. We encourage successful applicants to live residentially (assistance available), however, possible FIFO. Depending on the location, key duties can include:
- Preventative maintenance and servicing.
- Breakdown and repairs.
- Diagnostics and analytics.
- Component fitting.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Canadian Automotive Mechanic/Technician Qualification + Red Seal.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a dealership or independent workshop.
- Demonstrated employment stability.
- Electrical and hydraulic knowledge is advantageous.
