We select the best training provider, and employees learn about both the theoretical and practical aspects of being a Heavy Duty Equipment Technician. At Blue Tongue, we’re focused on solving our Clients’ heavy maintenance workforce challenges for the long term while also helping them reduce labour spend. That’s why our skills training programs help you build and maintain an experienced and loyal team of Heavy Duty Equipment Technicians. After initial training and then 24 months working onsite with you as a Blue Tongue employee, the technicians are challenged to take the Red Seal exam and obtain their certification. They then transition to work directly for you as an experienced and qualified Heavy Duty Equipment Technician.

We consult with Clients for the duration of the Program and project manage the transition of the employee to ensure a seamless and successful transfer. Once transferred, Clients gain a highly skilled Heavy Duty Equipment Technician on their direct employment who is committed and experienced for the long term. Over 93% of all employees we have previously hired through this program in Australia go on to complete the training and become direct employees of our Clients, with 80% of these employees remaining employed by the Client for at least another four years.
